I do not deny that I am partly nostalgic of the progressive music of the 70s, but above all an unrepentant fanatic of the German Berlin School. But with strong influences of the Chillout style of these days, at times.

I play every now and then to feel good and, I hope, to make the listener feel good as well. Also for this I thank very much both my supporters and followers and those who limit themselves only to listening to my music in streaming.

As I feel it, music - especially electronic music - is like an antenna to connect to the "world of ideas", as Plato conceived it in his philosophy. Synthesizers are optimal vehicles for this, even when the sound may appear minimalist. We want to access the emotions of that numinous world that exists within our consciousness, which is the consciousness of the Universe to which we are all connected like the tentacles of an immense octopus. We are really entangled to the immensity. And then we want to convey those emotions using all the possible electronics at our disposal by piloting it using these wonderful machines that perhaps represent the vehicle of shamanism of the third millennium. Soundscapes from other worlds, pressing and chained sequences, technological settings, harmonies of such distant and so close dimensions, and unconventional melodies.

I really hope to be able to renew my gear as soon as possible. My dream is to try to improve the "resolving power" (to use a metaphor taken from astrophysics) with which those emotions would like to be transmitted.

I took the photo of the album using a Praktica B-200 in February 1985 in Venice during the Carnival. That little girl with the red wig would like to mean the desire to awaken the child that resides in us, that child who dreams and at the same time wants to understand the world and the universe by constantly asking questions.

Totemtag is the pseudonym in music of Dr. Massimo Teodorani, who is an Italian Ph.D. astrophysicist. He is strongly inspired by the Berlin School of classical electronic music. Lastly he attempts to approach Ambient, Trance and Chillout music.
